Fuck Valentine's Day. This holiday is piece of shit marketing ploy. Useless in the realm of a condom machine in the Vatican. Yes, I'm single, have been for a while so it is really easy to blow it off.

Even if I was dating someone I would think it's horseshit. I firmly believe you should do special things for your loved one often, not just on major holidays and birthday. Doesn't always have to be something big, just something thoughtful.

The thing that especially burns me is the advertisers who basically say "Buy something really pricey to prove you love her" You've heard the commercials, the guy either bought/is going to buy some fucked up present that only someone riding the short bus through life would find acceptable. Someone then points out he should buy a diamond. Grrreat, if you HAVE to buy a diamond or a Lexus to keep things going smoothly your relationship is circling the drain. I'm not saying don't buy a diamond or the like if you want to do something extra special, but they make it sound like it is something as easy and common as picking up a bottle of wine.

Men don't need the pressure. I know plenty of women out there who go all out for their men, but let's face it the pressure is all on the men to not screw up V.D.

So, on this V.D. I say "Fuck it, don't mean nuthin"
